The Book of the Year was the second book released by the team behind No Such Thing As A Fish, although the Elves have been involved in QI books before and after.
The Book of the Year 2018[]
Subtitled "Your Definitive Guide to the World's Weirdest News", the book was a collection of the Elves' favourite facts from 2018, many of which were not in the podcast.
The book was announced in TBA and released in Episode 239: No Such Thing As The Queen Maaaaaaary. It was given out as a prize during some live shows in 2018 to the audience member who submitted the most interesting fact.
It followed The Book of the Year, and was followed by The Book of the Year 2019.
The Audiobook of the Year 2018[]
The audiobook version of The Book of the Year 2018, which also featured podcast-like banter and discussion, was recorded at 2020 Audio, and featured some narration from BBC newsreader Jane Hill.
The first chapter of The Audiobook of the Year 2018 was released as Merry Christmas from Dan, James, Anna and Andy.
